Live Classes Delivered to You

Conveniently Engage With Course Directors and Colleagues.

At least five times per term, live synchronous classes are held. Students communicate with the Course Director (instructor) through streaming audio and text. The live class time is devoted to discussing principal issues and recent developments in the module topics students are studying.

As the leader of the discussion, the Course Director receives and moderates student messages.  This interactive chat function is ideally suited for the problem-based courses of the LLM program. Each student responds to every situation that is posed, and the Course Director selects and reveals the responses in an order that builds to the best response.

The online classroom also provides a channel for the  Course Director to interact privately during class to individual students, and an additional channel for students to interact with one another. Other functions such as the “smart board” allow for presentations and collaborative participation during the session. There is also direct access to the Internet to incorporate Web-based information and access to Westlaw, which is available to LLM students.

All classes are archived for students who miss a session or wish to review.
