Our LLM is for Practicing Attorneys and Recent Graduates.

The program is open to lawyers who have a JD or LLB from a law school in the United States or have earned a first (basic) law degree from a law school outside the United States. Applicants who have completed their JD or equivalent degree study outside the United States will have their study evaluated by a credential evaluation service and must demonstrate English proficiency by a TOEFL score of 550/213/80 or higher and through the interview and application process. Lawyers must be in good standing with each state bar in which they are a member.

The admissions process includes completing an online application, submitting relevant transcripts and bar certificates of good standing, as well as an interview with the program director.

Courses are held in 15-week trimester terms with start dates in January, May, and September. The expectation is that students will take 2 courses per term (4 credits) although other study plans are possible with the approval of the program director. The 24 credit program cannot be completed in less than 6 terms and must be completed within 4 years.

Applications for the term beginning August 29, 2011 must be submitted by August 12, 2011; applications for the term beginning January 3, 2012 term must be submitted by December 12, 2011.
